Privacy Policy

Last updated: April 28, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Baby Shed (“we,” “us,” “our”) collects, uses, and protects information when you visit babyshed.com or place an order. By using our site, you agree to the practices described here.

Information we collect

We collect information you provide directly:

  • Contact form: name, email address, phone number, and the content of your message.
  • Orders: billing and shipping name, address, email, phone number, and items purchased. Payment card details are processed by our payment provider and are never stored on our site.
  • Account (if created): the same information above, plus a password.

We also collect limited technical information automatically: IP address, browser type, pages visited, and referral source. This is standard server log data.

How we use information

We use your information to:

  • Process and fulfill orders.
  • Reply to questions you send through our contact form, phone, text, or WhatsApp.
  • Provide customer support, including post-sale questions about products you’ve purchased.
  • Improve our website and products.
  • Comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not send marketing emails unless you explicitly opt in.

Sharing with third parties

We share information only with service providers necessary to operate the site:

  • Payment processors (such as Stripe or PayPal) to process your payment.
  • Shipping carriers (such as UPS, FedEx, or USPS) to deliver your order.
  • Hosting and platform providers (WordPress.com / Automattic) that power our site.
  • Form provider (Jetpack) which processes contact form submissions and emails them to us.

We may also disclose information when legally required (such as a subpoena or court order).

Cookies and analytics

We use a small number of cookies to keep your shopping cart, remember your preferences, and understand how visitors use the site. You can disable cookies in your browser, but parts of the site (especially checkout) may not work correctly without them.

Your rights (California residents)

Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), California residents have the right to:

  • Know what personal information we have collected about them.
  • Request that we delete personal information we hold about them.
  • Opt out of any sale of personal information (we do not sell personal information).
  • Not be discriminated against for exercising any of these rights.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us through our Contact page. We will respond within 45 days.

Data retention

We keep order records as long as required for tax, accounting, and warranty purposes (typically seven years). Contact form messages are retained for one year unless you ask us to delete them sooner.

Children

Our products are baby and toddler items intended for use by children, but our website and services are intended for adult purchasers. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will reflect the most recent changes. Material changes will be highlighted on this page.
